Performance is the most powerful feature in Hashtag Expert. The goal is to tell you how a group of Hashtags will perform for your specific Instagram account. Right now, Performance is limited to just Instagram, but we’d like to bring it to other social networks eventually.
To view Performance for a hashtag group, go to Trending, Profile or Generate and tap the green ‘Performance’ button on a group of hashtags. We’ll go through the cards one by one and explain them.
Info - the top card just describes the group and some basic information about it. We have the hashtags themselves, the base hashtag that the group came from, who created it, and the categories it belongs to.
Placement - this is the most valuable piece of Performance. If you haven’t added a valid Instagram username to the app already, you’ll be prompted here to add it. By doing this, we can fetch information about your Instagram account and compare that to the information we fetch about the hashtags in the hashtag group.
Based on that data, we’ll come up with a conclusion about your odds of performing well with a group of hashtags - Easy, Possible, or Hard. Then, we’ll write a sentence explaining how we came to that conclusion.
Stats - Here we show you two useful stats about the hashtags. The average likes of the top posts of all the hashtags and the average amount of new posts per hour of all the hashtags.
Report Card - Here, we’re looking at the post counts for each hashtag and trying to figure out if the group of hashtags is balanced or not. These are like letter grades in school—A is great and F is bad. You should shoot for a C or higher here, which means the group of hashtags is pretty well balanced in terms of post counts.
Chart - here, you can drag your finger and see the various stats about each hashtag in the group. For example, post counts for each hashtag, average likes on top posts for each hashtag, and more. You can tap the dropdown arrow and change the stat the chart shows
Hashtag Stats - see stats about each of the hashtags in the group one by one. Here’s what each of those stats means:
Posts - how many posts have been tagged with that hashtag
New Posts / Hour - how many new posts per hour we estimate a hashtag is getting
Likes on Top Posts - the average amount of likes that the Top Posts for that hashtag have
